His Righteous Right Hand

Holding Our Right Hand

Isaiah 41:10 & 13

10 So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand. 13 For I am the LORD, your God, who takes hold of your right hand and says to you, Do not fear; I will help you.

This verse came to me when I was cleaning and listening to a sermon online. I had been going through an extremely difficult and heartbreaking time --- physically and emotionally --- just a horrible time. At night, I had been playing healing worship music to sleep. During the day, I had been pressing into the Word more than ever. Then suddenly, God and His Word filled me in a powerful way. He brought the words of Isaiah 41:10 -13 to me and showed it to me in another scripture also. I became overwhelmed by the Holy Spirit and crumbled, holding myself up by leaning into the kitchen counter, sobbing with the little breath I had left. I felt my right arm raise up as if it was lifted by someone else, then I felt warmth permeate my hand ... my raised right hand. My Heavenly Father held my hand! He stepped in and held me up with His helping hand...  His hand of rescue.  He had been holding me through this awful ordeal, literally giving me His breath in my lungs and His life in my heart. His life-giving, total healing power sustained me when I was nearing my end. This realization rejuvenated my faith --- my shaken, broken, weak, nearly-lost faith.

Then, shortly after this faith-building experience, the wind was yet again knocked out of my sails. Another huge ball dropped, tempting me to give up and lose every last ounce of faith. Horrible, awful things. Yet although that right hand nearly started to to seem as cold as the left, I had to rebuke the enemy - the enemy of attack, doubt and fear - and trust God and His all-powerful Word; knowing the power and peace only experienced in the mighty presence of God.

Our Savior sees all, hears all, and cares very much! He will take hold of your right hand! Think about the power of "the right". So many times in the Word there is mention of "the right". Just think, Jesus is at the right hand of The Father making intercession for us! (Romans 8:34) He is interceding for us! 

Whatever your current situation is, you can trust God. He won't let you go. He loves us so much and He heals us. He heals our whole being.

You too can cry out. I have. Let go and just cry out.... God does not lie. He is with you. He will keep His Word and bring victory. He has bottled your every tear and has promised that He cares.
