When spring rolls around my green thumb begins to itch! I can hardly wait to get outside and begin planting -- flowers, more herbs, and more vegetables! Thankfully, there are fall and winter plants and herbs to work with year-round, yet spring simply has a way of beckoning for more ... more produce and beautiful flowers that call for bright sunshine and warm temps!
Raised Beds & Green Goodness
One spring we decided to build a raised planter using materials we already had. In no time, Jeremy had the planter built and my visions of teal and gray came to life as we painted, applying an aged wood technique. I pondered over adding designs, but I liked the simplicity so much, I focused on enjoying it and began planting herbs and vegetables instead!

The first sprouts! With every planting, comes the anticipation of harvesting and using the first sprouts. Basil, parsley, oregano, and even beans do so well in raised beds. Additionally, microgreens are a wonderful addition to your kitchen that can be grown along with herbs indoors by a sunny window seal throughout the year, even though these entail planting new seeds for continual growth.
Adding fresh herbs and greens to salads, pasta, and so many other dishes results in delicious freshness with every bite! There are times, I cannot seem to get enough fresh basil! Well, let's not wait another second ... Let's get growing!
Yummmmm!

You'll love these unique additions to your wardrobe and home! Here are just a few!
